We bring solution focused approaches to address your unique needs.
You can feel better. The group of therapists at Within Reach Psychotherapy believes that your healing takes place through connection and collaboration with you in a non-judgmental space. We’re passionate about sharing information and tools that help people better understand and cope with issues related to mental health. Our work is grounded in the knowledge that everyone has a natural capacity to heal.
Our approaches are practical, solution focused and have been well studied and shown to be helpful. We encourage our clients to be active between sessions in developing new habits and tools to enhance the effectiveness of therapy. Our team is excited about collaborating with people to make healthy changes in their lives. Working together, we believe that healing, recovery, growth, and change are all within your reach.
Within Reach Psychotherapy is a collective of three U.C. Berkeley trained clinical social workers bringing strengths-based approaches to psychotherapy for older teens, adults, elders and groups.

I am passionate about fostering self-acceptance and normalizing discussions of mental health. I believe in the importance of context and collaboration to heal the whole person. My clients find that I am humorous, soft-spoken, and compassionate while working with them in their growth. I am skilled in facilitating a safe, inclusive space where, together, we can explore and examine your concerns in a supportive way in addition to utilizing evidence-based interventions to address them.
By seeking a space where you can be safe, be heard and heal, you’ve already started on your path to increased wellness and resiliency. I offer a non-judgmental, highly collaborative and eclectic approach and am trained in several evidence-based methods. Together, we’ll explore what works for you and focus on building actions and knowledge that will help you to create positive changes. I'm an understanding, empathic clinician who is focused on keeping things progressing toward what you want to achieve.
Depending on the goal (or goals) treatment can be short term or ongoing. My goal is to help you feel better and live better, and get to a place where you no longer feel that you want or need ongoing therapy.
My clients often appreciate my relaxed, open style and sense of humor. My open-minded, non-judgmental approach is often helpful for those who have been misunderstood or pathologized in life, or in previous experiences with therapy.
My clinical work has primarily been focused on the treatment of trauma and insomnia, but I also have experience working with depression, anxiety and life transitions. I have extensive training and experience using EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, as well as Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I love using evidence-based therapies, but I’m a strong believer in fitting these therapies to each individual client, not trying to get my clients to fit the therapy.
In addition to providing therapy, I am currently an EMDRIA Consultant in Training, providing consultation for clinicians that have completed basic training in EMDR therapy and are looking to hone their skills and obtain hours towards EMDRIA certification.
